About Us
A major section of our repertoire has been designed with “Rabindra Sangeet, Children Songs & Modern Songs” which further segmented to “Devotional, Folk Recitation & many more. Our Tagore section has a rich blend of artistes like Hemanta Mukhopahhyay, Debabrata Biswas, Subinoy Roy, Ajoy Chakraborty, Rezwana Chowdhury, Indrani Sen, Seikanta Acharya, Kavita Krishnamurthy..to name few. Modern Song segment has albums of Bhupen Hazarika, Hemanta Mukhopadhyay, Aumit Kumar, Indranil Sen, Kumar Sanu, Ariti Mukherjee the list is endless.
Recitation albums comprises of renditions by “Soumitra Chatterjee, Partho Ghosh Gouri Ghosh, Pradip Ghosh, Jagannath Basu & Urimimala Basu. A special mention has to be made about the children repertoire, having a vaniety from Rabindrasangeet, Nazrulgeeti, Modern, Nursery Rhymes, Abol-Tabal to Animation Film. Today, Asha Audio stands tall in Music scenario of Bengal being proud of their achievement and success. Though we have to go miles ahead exploring more categories and creating much more to leave behind if not much, a little contribution in this huge industry and help it grow, earnying our culture and tradition forward, to the generation to come.
Asha Audio laid its foundation in May 1995 with the blessings of the legendry singer “Asha Bhosle”. In this journey of nearly 14 years, we have been able to build up a catalogue of400 titles. Though the initial years comprised of struggle & hardship, but there was always a feeling of great self satisfaction, to innovate something which was not “run of the will”. We took a very bold step to establish contemporary music and so happened “Mohiner Ghora guli” & “Paraspathar” in 1995 / 96, which was followed by “Chandrabindoo, Miles, Fossils & Lakkhichhara”. A new era was established in the farm of “Band Music” & Asha Audio became the “Pioneers” to promote new age sound and the upcoming Bengali Bands.
